We have a pretty good idea of our origins – how we got here – but as men, where to go and what to do with our lives is a question that begs an answer – even if we don’t voice it.
In “Fathered by God,” authored by John Eldredge, we’re given an orientation – a road map of the masculine journey. A good map gives you the lay of the land and lets you decide how you will cover the terrain.
We’ll begin with the assumption that we need some direction, and then we’ll be guided through six stages of the masculine journey: Boyhood, Cowboy, Warrior, Love, King and Sage, and will conclude our time by purposing to live our days by walking with intent and purpose.
This is a video-driven curriculum which we’ll use in conjunction with the book “Fathered by God” and a participant’s guide to facilitate our small group discussions. This material parallels John Eldredge’s “Wild at Heart,” but previous participation in Restoration of the Heart for Men is not a pre-requisite. We look forward to meeting our heavenly Father and listening to Him affirm and address us in these stages of the masculine journey.
