The job of the staff at The Crossing Church is to equip you with everything you need to get the job done. At Crossing Kids and Emerge Student Ministries we want to go beyond just teaching you the facts and figures of taking care of a child or student, we want to make you STICKY! 

Have you ever been eating pancakes with syrup and after a while the syrup gets on the fork which in turn ends up on your hand which in turn ends up on your clothes, which in turn gets everywhere? Now you got it. We want you to be like syrup…sticky , so that when you are around kids and students the things you say and teach about God sticks to them. Our ultimate goal is to create sticky kids and students and the only way to do that is to first create sticky leaders. We want sticky kids and students so that they will stick with God, stick at church, and then pass on all this gooey Godly goodness to friends, neighbors, and anyone else they come into contact with. Sticky is the Culture of the NextGen Ministry.

Our STICKY process for our volunteers is made up of five very important ingredients:

You might be wondering, "How do I get plugged in?" It's easy!

First fill out a Volunteer Application. You can pick these up at the information desk in the lobby, the Check In boat or from any of our Next Gen Staff members. If you already have a Volunteer Application on file with us, or you are unsure you can email Brandy at bcrampton@crossingonline.org.

After you have filled it out and your background check in complete you will be contacted by one of our Volunteer Administrators with a link for our online video orientation, called Splat.

Once you have watched the video and emailed your Volunteer Administrator you will be set up with a time to Shadow in a ministry of your choice. You will meet staff and volunteer leadership that will help you decide which ministry is the best place for you to serve.

All that's left is to decide which ministry God is calling you to serve in. Connect with the ministry leader to get a Next Gen Volunteer Covenant, continue training and you're ready to GO!
